Wow. So much has happened.
Little Milton, RL Burnside, Gatemouth Brown. Then the damn hurricane. Pithy comments on a tiny website seem to fall short given the circumstances.

I went ahead and took the plunge into the myspace world and somehow wound up with two pages. One for me and one for my music. It's neat enough I guess. Seems to be kind of buggy sometimes though, don't you think? Justice put up one for the Secret Service, too. It kinda looks like a 3rd grader did it.

Did some overdubs for Planet Swan's upcoming CD. Good stuff. Hopefully she'll put some up on HER myspace page when it's done. Jeff Powell is producing, so it's great to work with him again. I think we'll be back at Ardent for another project at the end of the month.

The most fun I've had recently by far has got to be recording down at the Zebra Ranch in Coldwater, MS early this month. Me and Luther playing guitar and singing, Paul Taylor playing drums and washtub bass, Luther's dad playing piano, Kevin Houston engineering. Lots of first takes, little separation, crazy folk/country blues/general wackiness that we learned from our fathers. At the moment, we're calling it "Sons of Mudboy" and hopefully we'll do more when time permits. I can't overestimate how much I enjoyed doing this. Maybe we'll play some shows or put out a CD or something. I'll get some music up here before too long.
